What is Session Recordings?
An app for Wix sites that records real visits so you can replay them, with key moments marked and typing masked.
Do I need to add code?
No. Add the app from the Wix App Market and turn recording on.
Is a recording a video?
No. It's rebuilt from the page's structure and the visitor's events. There's no screen capture, audio or camera.
Can I see what visitors type?
No. Typing is masked in the visitor's browser. Words submitted in your store's search box can be shown.
Does it follow my cookie banner?
Yes. Visitors who haven't allowed analytics aren't recorded.
Which moments are marked?
Page views, searches, cart adds and checkouts. Store moments appear when your site has a store.
Can I watch visitors live?
Yes. Visits in progress show as LIVE, and you can follow along a few seconds behind.
How do I save time watching?
Use filters, jump to marked moments, and let idle stretches skip automatically. Speeds go up to 4x.
Does it make heatmaps?
No. Session Recordings focuses on replays of real visits.
Is this the same as Session Recordings in Wix Analytics?
No. Wix Analytics has a session recordings feature of its own, powered by TWIPLA, which needs an upgraded Wix site and comes in plans from 3 to 10,000 recordings a month, according to Wix's help center. Session Recordings by myuser.ai is a separate app from the Wix App Market, with a Free plan of 2,000 recordings a month. How long are replays kept?
30 days on Free, 90 days on Plus and 12 months on Pro. Starred replays are kept.
What happens when my monthly recordings run out?
Recording pauses until the next monthly cycle. There are no surprise charges.
How much does it cost?
Free includes 2,000 recordings a month. Plus is $12 a month and Pro is $29 a month. See pricing.
Who can see my recordings?
People with access to your site's dashboard. You can share a replay's link with them.
Can I share a replay with my team?
Yes. Every replay has a link you can copy for teammates who have access to your site's dashboard.
Which filters can I use?
All visits, Viewed a product, Added to cart, Signed up, Known visitor and Starred. Unknown visitors appear as Anonymous.
Are phone visits recorded?
Yes. Phone visits replay at the phone's own shape, with each tap shown.
Can I turn recording off?
Yes, anytime, from the app. Recording stops right away, and existing replays are kept until their retention period ends.
Does it slow my site down?
The recorder sends a visit in small pieces as it happens rather than all at once at the end. If a page ever feels slower, email us and we'll look into it.
