Privacy policy

Session Recordings is operated by myuser.ai LLC ("myuser.ai", "we", "us"). This policy explains what the Session Recordings app and this website handle, and why. If you visited a site that uses Session Recordings, that site's owner decides whether to record visits and is responsible for its own privacy notice; we process recordings on the site owner's behalf.

1. What a recording contains

When a site owner turns recording on, and a visitor's cookie choices allow analytics, the app records:

• The page's structure and how it changes during the visit, so the page can be rebuilt for playback. A recording is not a screen video and has no audio or camera.
• Clicks, taps, scrolling and pointer movement, page addresses and timing.
• The device type, browser, operating system and window size, as reported by the browser.
• Store moments such as searches, cart adds and checkouts, where the site has a store.

Typing is masked in the visitor's browser before anything is sent: typed text is replaced with asterisks. Two things can be visible: the words a visitor submits in the site's search box, and details a visitor submits in a myuser.ai sign-up pop-up, which the site owner already receives as a form submission. If a visitor is already known to the site, for example because they signed up, the site owner may see their name next to the recording.

2. Consent

Recording follows the site's cookie consent settings. Visitors who have not allowed analytics are not recorded. Site owners are responsible for telling their visitors about session recording in their own privacy policy.

3. How recordings are used

Recordings are shown only to people with access to the site owner's dashboard, so they can understand how visitors use the site and fix problems. We don't sell recordings, use them for advertising, or show them to other customers.

4. Retention and deletion

Recordings are deleted automatically at the end of the site's plan retention period (30 days on Free, 90 days on Plus, 12 months on Pro), unless the site owner stars them. Site owners can ask us to delete any recording sooner, at any time. Recordings are also deleted when a visitor or the site is erased through Wix's privacy requests. Visitors who want their recordings removed can ask the site owner, or us, and we will act on the site owner's behalf.

5. Information from the site owner

When a site installs Session Recordings, we receive the details needed to operate it: site and installation identifiers, owner and business contact details, site name and address, and plan status. We use them to run the app and provide support.

6. Service providers

• Google Cloud and Firebase host the app and store recordings.
• Wix provides cookie-consent signals, site information and billing.

7. Security

Recordings are encrypted in transit and stored on access-controlled cloud infrastructure.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your information, or to object to its use. People in the European Economic Area and the UK can exercise these rights through the site owner or by contacting us. California residents have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion; we do not sell personal information.

9. This website

This website doesn't use advertising cookies. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

10. Children

Session Recordings is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
